Chronic Pain

Although pain is a natural way for the body to alert a person of a problem, it can rise to a heightened level and if left untreated these levels can remain heightened. Chronic pain persists for weeks, months or even years and can lead to decreased activity levels, job loss, or financial difficulties, as well as anxiety, depression, and disability. Unlike medications, which simply place a proverbial bandage over the issue, physical therapy works to address the root problem and teaches coping and maintenance strategies so you can better self treat/manage.

Our physical therapists will work with you to design an individualized treatment plan to reduce pain and restore activity to the highest possible levels. Following a thorough evaluation, we will use a combination of hands-on techniques, modalities and supervised exercises designed to relieve pain and gain functional strength. With treatment, the adverse effects of chronic pain can be reduced. Our goal is to deliver effective, lasting pain relieve in the shortest amount of time.
